A faithful and illuminating dramatisation of Polish classic Dziady by Adam Mickiewicz which is considered one of the greatest works of European Romanticism, next to Goethe’s Faust and Byron’s Manfred.  

The magic, beauty and brutality of this monument is created as a piece of total theatre, collaborating with international actors, dancers, designers and digital filmmakers. 

At times playful, at times deadly serious,  the protagonists grapple with the agonising choice between personal happiness and sacrifice for the greater good. 

The audience are invited to consider this historical Polish piece in the context of contemporary Europe and the UK, through the timeless  themes of love, identity and war.
